University of South Africa, Unisa 2025 Online Application for Admission to undergraduate, honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas will be available from 2 September to 14 November 2024. Therefore, all prospective applicants and Unisa students must apply for admission to the 2025-2026 academic year. All applications for admission must be submitted during the prescribed application period.

Everyone who wish to start a new qualification at Unisa must apply for admission in 2025. This comprises

• All first-time Unisa applicants.
• Unisa students who are changing to a new qualification.
• Applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space
  Candidates who were opportune to be offered a space, accepted the offer and did not register.
• Students completing a higher certificate or any other programme and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies.

The Unisa 2025 Application Procedure

• When you are applying to study at Unisa for 2025, you can select up to two qualifications, prioritizing them by preference. However, if both applications are successful, you can only register for one. Unisa will promptly notify you of your application status, specifying the accepted qualification and offering you a space for the applicable period, such as semester 2.
• It is always the best to respond to Unisa offer within the stipulated timeframe. If you Fail to do so will result in the withdrawal of the offer, with the space being allocated to another applicant. If the offer isn’t accepted within 10 days, it will be retracted, and the space forfeited.
• New applicants must complete the First-Year Experience MOOC before accepting Unisa offer. You have to put it in your mind that you can only accept one offer. Accepting an offer for one qualification automatically cancels any other offers.
• Upon accepting Unisa’s offer, ensure timely registration for the granted admission period. Failure to register for the relevant semester necessitates re-application during the next application period.

Documents Needed for Unisa University Online Application 2025

All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consists of the following:

• Copy of your school Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate
• Copy of your official tertiary academic records if applicable
• Copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree if applicable
• Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
• Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)

How to Apply at Unisa University Online Application 2025

It is very simple, easy and accurate to apply online at Unisa 2025, follow this simple method:

1. Go to Unisa website at www.unisa.ac.za apply for 2025
2. Click on “Admission” tab at the top menu of the page
3. Scroll to the “Apply for Admission 2025” tab
4. Choose the qualification level (undergraduate/postgraduate, etc)
5. Read the online application information carefully before you proceed
6. Click on “Start the application process” link and read the information
7. Click on the “Proceed to ODeL and Unisa” link and click on “Apply Now”
8. Make your selection and continue the online application process
9. Fill out the online application form with your personal details
10. Pay the online application fee R135 and keep proof of payment
11. Upload your supporting documents. Make sure the are scanned copies
12. Complete and submit your application for assessment.

Unisa will go through your application, which includes the admission points score system. You may be offered a space for semester 1 of the 2025 academic year based on:

• your minimum academic points score (APS)
• the number of spaces available for the qualification for which you have applied.
• whether you meet the academic admission requirements for your chosen qualification

Remember: Applicants who do not qualify for Unisa admission in 2025 will get feedback as soon as their applications are processed. Applicants who qualify for admission will only receive final feedback whether or not Unisa will offer them a space for semester 1 of the 2025 academic year once all applications received by the closing date have been processed.
