All new qualified applicants who were offered admission for the 2026/207 academic year are required to visit the official website page of Unisa and complete the registration for their semester modules before the closing date. The registration for all new qualifications starts from the 8th of January 2026, and close on 28th of February,2026.
Qualified applicants are required to complete all registrations before the closing date, failure to register register modules within the specific date provided would not be part of the semester activities in the institution. The University of South Africa (Unisa) encourage all fresh applicants to proceed their registration online through the official website page of Unisa.
All qualified applicants are require to pay a non refundable amount of R750.00 as the registration fee for the admission space offered in the institution. The paid amount covers the registration of modules for the semester and any applicants who refuses to pay the registration fee before the closing date can affect their admission status. This means that, any applicant who pays for the registration fee and able to register their modules are those considered to be student of University of South Africa (Unisa).
Unisa Registration Opening And Closing Date For 2026/2027 Academic Year:
The date provided is the opening and closing date for all new qualified applicants to complete their registration for thier various modules for the semester.
Registration Opening Date: 8th of January 2026.
Registration Closing Date: 28th of February,2026.
Unisa Registration Fee:
- Every qualified applicants who were offered admission at Unisa are required to pay an amount of R170.00 for the registration fee, which include the modules for the semester. Applicants should note that, any amount of money paid for the registration is not refundable or even if the applicant decides to decline the admission space offered.
Who Can Register Unisa 2026-2027:
- New applicants & Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification may only register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and have accepted the offer online.
- Re-registering students can register for the 2025 academic year during the relevant registration period once they have received their registration details from Unisa.
- Any qualified applicant who wish to change to an alternative qualification.
Requirements Needed In The Unisa Registration 2026/2027:
- You must meet all admission requirements as well as subject requirements.
- Applicants must ensure they have been already offered admission.
- Applicants must provide all necessary documents of which the registration entails.
- You must provide all receipts of any amount paid for the registration.
- Applicants are to provide valid personal informations and active contact details which include, cell number, email, postal address, etc.
The Processes On How To Register For Unisa 2026-2027:
- Visit the Unisa web registration page.
- Choose the qualification level and then click “Go“.
- Enter your student number in the block provided and the other details as required. (If you don’t have a student number you won’t be able to continue.
- Check your personal details on screen. Change any contact details that are missing or incorrect. It is very important to provide your correct address and cellphone numbers. Incorrect information may delay the delivery of your study material and prevent you from receiving important information from the university.
- Click on the modules from the drop-down list for which you want to register. Ensure that you meet all the qualification requirements for your selected modules. You must
- Meet all the pre-requisites and co-requisites for the selected module
- Select the correct period (1 = first semester; 2 = second semester; 0 = year module)
- Do not exceed the prescribed number of modules per semester or year, as this may result in a delay in your registration being processed. Unisa retains the right to remove modules based on the number of credits allowed per semester and in accordance with the fees paid. Please take note of the maximum period of time you have to complete your qualification.
- Calculate your fees
- Use the fee quotation link on the Unisa website to obtain a quote for the cost of your modules.
- Note the minimum fee that must be paid before Unisa will process your registration. If these fees are more than you can afford, remove modules until you can afford the fees.
- You can make payment online, using the web credit card payment method.
- If you don’t have a credit card, you can use one of the Unisa payment methods listed on this page. Retain your proof of payment in case of enquiries.
