Unisa Online Secondary School
The University of South Africa (Unisa) is offering online admission to all grade 10 and 11 prospective applicants who wish to study preferred secondary courses and programmes at Unisa. The purpose of this online qualification is to expand access to secondary education for learners who were unable to attend conventional schools. The introduction of this qualification programs at Unisa is aimed at providing the necessary basic skills to succeed within the Open Distance Learning (ODeL) environment and also enhance generic competencies within ODeL such as basic language and learning skills, information management skills and teaching skills, as well as some elective subject knowledge.
Application date for Unisa online secondary school opens from 29th of July, 2025 and close on 30th of August, 2025 therefore, applicants are required to visit the official website page of Unisa and apply for admission. Also prospective applicants must note that, Unisa online secondary qualification is online based programmes, therefore, all applicants are expected to apply and complete all applications online through the Unisa official homepage. Every applicants applying for the online programmes must pay a non-refundable application fee of R140.00 to get the online application form, fill it out and submit by the closing date as specified.
Additionally, all applicants applying for admission to study online secondary school qualification would be required to write the National Senior Certificate examination (NSC) in grade 12, therefore, applicants who write the NSC examination, passes and meet the relevant requirements could be accepted by South African tertiary institution for further study.
