Undergraduate Qualifications (Application Date and Deadline Date):

• The online application window for the 2026-2027 academic year at Unisa for undergraduate courses will be opening from the 21th of August 2025 and will be closing on the 11th of October 2025

Honours Degrees & Postgraduate Diplomas (Application Date and Deadline Date):

• The online application window for the 2026-2027 academic year at Unisa postgraduate courses will be opening from the 11th of August 2025 and will be closing on the 11th of October 2025

Master’s & Doctoral Qualifications (Application Date and Deadline Date):

• If you want to study in the Masters and Doctorial degree courses offered at Unisa for the 2026 study sesson, you will need to start the application process from the 2nd September 2025 through to the 22nd of November 2025.

Short Learning Programmes (Application Date and Deadline Date):

• Applications and registrations for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes for the 2026 academic year to be open from 8 January to 15 February 2026 for 1st semester modules and 8 January to 15 March 2026 for 2nd semester and year modules.

Who Qualifies To Apply For Unisa Online Learning Application:

Any applicants meeting the minimum requirements for the Unisa online learning program can apply for admission.

• Any applicant wanting to start a new qualification for the online programmes can apply for the admission. This includes first time Unisa applicants and Unisa students changing to a new qualification.
• Applicants who are about completing a higher certificate may apply for admission if they want to continue with further undergraduate studies.
• Prospective applicants may re-apply for admission if they previously applied for admission and were offered a space, but did not accept the offer or were not able to register for any reason.
