All new applicants wishing to apply for online admission and study preferred courses at Unisa must take this general information into consideration that, admission to the University of South Africa (Unisa) is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification. To apply for online courses at Unisa, every prospective applicants is expected to pay a non refundable amount of R140 for the application fee. The application date for the 2026-2027 academic year enrollment begins from 21st August 2025, and Unisa demands all aspiring applicants to complete and submit all applications before the closing date which is, 11th October 2026. Any applications that will be submitted after the closing date as specified by Unisa will not be processed of those applications may be canceled.

- If you want to study in the Masters and Doctorial degree courses offered at Unisa for the 2026 study sesson, you will need to start the application process from the 2nd September 2025 through to the 22nd of November 2025.
Short Learning Programmes (Application Date and Deadline Date):
- Applications and registrations for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes for the 2026 academic year to be open from 8 January to 15 February 2026 for 1st semester modules and 8 January to 15 March 2026 for 2nd semester and year modules
