University of South Africa (UNISA) Registration for all undergraduate, honours and postgraduate diplomas and other qualifications is currently open to accept registrations from provisional students and continuing students of the University.

If you have been accepted as a student of the university for the 2025-2026 academic year, then the next step is to register for the courses you selected. Registration means enrolling in the courses and modules you selected to study for the 2025-2026 academic year. Registering your courses automatically secures your spot in the university and makes you a recognized student of the program.

Unia registration for the 2025-2026 academic year must be done online on the official website of the university a few weeks after the application portal has been closed. If you are a provisionally admitted student of Unisa, then you are mandated to register for your selected courses and modules for the academic year.

UNISA Registration Dates 2025-2026

Below are the registration dates for UNISA 2025-2026;

• The registration portal for Unisa’s first semester has closed for the academic year. However, the deadline for semester two registrations has been extended to July.
• Registration for master’s and doctoral programs for the 2025 academic year will be open from January to April, with some exceptions.
• Semester two registrations for MBA and MBL qualifications will be available from June to July.
• Additionally, applications and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be open from January to March.

The following documents are required to register for chosen courses at UNISA;

• Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
• Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
• Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
• Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
•  Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

• Visit UNISA Registration website https://registration.unisa.ac.za online
• Select the qualification in which you wish to register
• Click on “GO” to start your registration process
• If you have your student number, enter it in the space provided
• If you don’t have a student number, you need to apply for admission in the next application period where a student number can be obtained before you can register
• Fill the space with all the necessary details
• After that, check all your personal information. If some are not correct, make sure you correct all details.
• From the drop-down list of modules, choose the one you wish to register
• Make sure that you meet the admission requirements for your chosen module
• You are not to choose more than the prescribed number of modules per semester or year, this can delay the registration process
• Then, the next step is to calculate your registration and study fees for the 2025 academic session. You can use this link on the Unisa website http://www.unisa.ac.za/feequote to get a quote for the cost of your modules.
• Lastly, “Submit your Registration” via online.
