How To Apply For Teaching Course At Unisa 2026
The University of South Africa has officially open the student portal for all aspiring applicant wanting to pursue teaching courses and programmes at Unisa. All interested applicants must visit the official website page of Unisa on 14th April, 2026 to get the online application form and apply for admission for the 2026 academic year enrollment. Alternative, those applicants who do not have access to the internet to retrieve the online application form from Unisa homepage must go directly to the university premises and grab the application form from the administrative department of Unisa.
Applicants are required to pay a non refundable fee of R140.00 for the application form, fill out the application form and submit all applications before the closing date which is 9th of May, 2026. All applicants must not forget that, admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification. Also, any candidate who would be able to complete the qualification successfully will be able to teach from Grade 4 to 7. Teaching practice is a compulsory component in this program and must be taken according to the specific criteria every year.

Who Can Apply For Teaching At Unisa For The 2027-2027 Academic Year:
- Applicants (new applicants & Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification) may only register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and have accepted the offer online. Unisa reserves the right to not process and / or to cancel your registration if it is found that you were incorrectly admitted to a qualification.
- Re-registering students may register for the 2026 academic year once the registration period.
Application Fee For Unisa Teaching Courses For 2026-2027 Academic Year:
Every applicant is required to pay for the application fee before getting access to the application forms. Applicants must take note that, any paid amount for the application fee is not refundable, even if the applicant decide not to study through Unisa.
- The required amount for the application fees is R140.00
- Applicants are to proceed with the payment of the application fees after receiving student number from Unisa.
- Use the student number and application fees allocation number as your reference number.
