The University of South Africa is enrolling new applicants into the institution for the 2026-2027 academic year which starts from 14th of April 2026. All interested applicants willing to pursue any teaching courses at Unisa must visit the official website page of Unisa to get the application form and apply for admission after paying a non-refundable amount of R140.00 for the application fee. Alternatively applicants can pay for the application fee and go directly to the administration department premises of Unisa and grab the hardcopy application form and apply for the admission before the closing date which is, 9th of May 2026.

Applicants must take note that, late submission of application is not accepted at Unisa, therefore any application which will be submitted after the deadline date will be canceled from the enrollment. Also every aspiring applicants must fill out the application form with valid personal informations including contact details and ensure to attach authentic documentations to the application form before final submission.

Finally, admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification. Also, any candidate who would be able to complete the qualification successfully will be able to teach from Grade 4 to 7. Teaching practice is a compulsory component in this program and must be taken according to the specific criteria every year. Five weeks practical is required every year, and three weeks must be offered consecutively. This qualification comprises both semester and year modules.

Who Is Elegible To Apply For Teaching At Unisa For The 2027-2027 Academic Year:

• Applicants (new applicants & Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification) may only register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and have accepted the offer online. Unisa reserves the right to not process and / or to cancel your registration if it is found that you were incorrectly admitted to a qualification.
• Re-registering students may register for the 2026 academic year once the registration period.

Application Fee For Unisa Courses In Teaching:

Each applicant is required to pay for the application fee before getting access to the application forms to apply for the admission. Applicants must take note that, any paid amount for the application fee is not refundable, even if the applicant decide not to study through Unisa, do not qualify for admission to Unisa or cannot be offered a space due to limited spaces available.

• The required amount for the application fees is R140.00
• Applicants are to proceed with the payment of the application fees after receiving student number from Unisa.
• Use the student number and application fees allocation number as your reference number.
