The approved opening date for Unisa 2026-2027 academic year application is now published at the official website page of the University of South Africa (Unisa) which begins from 21st of August, 2025 and close on the 11the of October, 2025. All prospective applicants must visit the official homepage of Unisa and grab the admission form after paying a non-refundable amount of R140.00 for the application fee, fill out all the spaces provided on the application form with real personal informations and submit all applications before the deadline date which is, 11th October, 2025.
Applicants must notice that, the deadline date for application fee is the deadline date of the application period. This means that, any applicant who submit the application form without paying the application fee will not be accepted by the authority of Unisa, therefore, those particular applications would not be processed for enrollment.
The University of South Africa (Unisa) admission does not cover only few qualification, therefore, Unisa offer numerous qualification to new applicants ranging from the higher certificate to the highest qualification, including Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET). New applicants can visit the student application portal to have more details about Unisa academic phases.
All aspiring applicant must not forget to attach all supported documents to the application form and also ensure to provide legitimate personal information in filling out the application form. Applicants are to scan all required documents since the university does not provide scanners to applicants or any electronic devices.

Application Date At Unisa 2026-2027:
The application date at Unisa has been scheduled according to the qualification they offer to applicants.
- Undergraduate qualifications: 21 August 2025 – 11 October 2025
- Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas: 21 August 2025 – 11 October 2025
- Master’s & doctoral qualifications: 2 September – 22 November 2025 (some exceptions apply).
- Applications and registrations for short learning programmes for the 2026 academic year will be available in November 2025.
- Applications for College of Accounting Sciences and the College of Science, Engineering and Technology open until 31 January 2026
Application Fee At Unisa For 2026-2027 Academic Year:
Applicants are supposed to pay the application fee in order to get access to the application form and all applicants must remember that, the amount paid for the application fee is not refundable at all bases.
- Applications fee Undergraduate cost R140.00
- Pay the application fee once you have received a student number from Unisa.
- Use the student number you receive from Unisa and the application fee allocation number as your reference number.

All prospective applicants should have the following supporting documents ready to upload during the application process
- A Copy of your Senior Certificate or National Senior Certificate
- A Copy of your official tertiary academic records (if applicable)
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

UNISA Application process for the 2026 -2027 academic session is simple, easy and accurate. Those applicants who took a hardcopy application form Unisa directorate must submit their applications to the Unisa administration department. Please, to apply online, follow the below steps:
