All new candidates who wish to be enrolled in the University of South Africa’s recommended online courses and programs can now access the student portal and apply for the online undergraduate admissions. Applications for admission to their numerous online courses and programs will formally open on April 14th, 2026 and all applicants must make sure to submit their applications by the closing date of May 9th, 2026. Every prospective applicants must be aware that, submission of applications after the deadline will not be accepted by Unisa admission board.
To obtain the online application form, applicants must go to the Unisa official website and pay a non-refundable amount of R140.00, being the application fee to get access to the admission form and the Unisa homepage. Every new candidate must complete the application form with all the necessary informations and ensure that all personal information is accurate and legitimate, including contact information so the institution may get in touch with you for further informations or let you know if you have been accepted and offered admission to study at Unisa.
All potential applicants must ensure to scan all supported documents before starting the application process. This information is very relevant to all applicants because, the university does not offer scanners or electronic devices to applicants. Further notice to applicants is that, every applicants is required to provide genuine documentation since the institution will do recheck of every documents that will be submitted to them during the application period.

Unisa Online Application Date For Undergraduate Courses:
All applications are demanded to be completed and submitted within the date specified below. (Note: Late applications are not acceptatable at Unisa)
- Unisa Undergraduate Online Application Opening Date: 14th of April, 2026
- Unisa Undergraduate Online Application Closing Date: 9th of May, 2026
Who Can Apply Unisa Online Undergraduate Courses:
- Applicants who are computer literate and able to access internet connections. This is very relevant as far as the online courses are typically online based courses.
- First-time Unisa applicants.
- Unisa students changing to a new Short Learning Programme.
- Applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space.
Application Fee For Unisa Online Undergraduate Courses:
An application fee is requested from every aspiring applicants before those applicants can have access to the application form.
- The applicant is required to pay an amount of R140 for the application fee in order to get access to the online application form. (Note, the application fee is not refundable).
- The applicants must pay the application fees after receiving their student number from Unisa.
- Prospective applicants must use the number they receive from Unisa and the application fees allocation number as your reference number.
Requirement Needed For Unisa Online Courses 2026/2027:
All applicants are expected to meet below requirements in order to be enrolled in the 2026 academic year undergraduate online courses.
- Applicants provide only one e-mail address and one cellphone number during the application process.
- All applicants must ensure to avoid mistakes on the admission form relating to the provision of personal information.
- Copy of your school qualifications (eg National Senior Certificate)
- Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
- Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID / passport (international students)
- Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
- Any additional documents as may be required for a specific Short Learning Programmes
